About Will:
Vasili (Will) Makris is a second-year student at the University of Toronto majoring in History and minoring in Political Science and European Affairs. Following his Bachelor’s, he plans to dive into the field of law. He enjoys studying Hellenic history and the immense impact it has had on the world throughout the ages. He has a deep love and passion for his culture and history and enjoys spreading it through academia. He believes that it is of the utmost importance for those of Hellenic descent to understand and take pride in their rich historical roots. As GSA’s Director of Academic Affairs, Vasili strives to promote the study of Hellenic culture, religion, and heritage while bringing together and connecting Hellenic youth on an academic basis. On his free time, he enjoys playing sports and spending time with family and friends. He looks forward to meeting everyone and doing his part to bring Greeks together!
