Time: 10 am to 3 pm
Come visit us in the main lobby of Sid Smith between 10 am and 3 pm to sample some traditional Greek sweets including everyone’s favourite – loukoumades! We will also have an assortment of other treats for that sweet tooth. Paid members eat for free!

On Wednesday, October 21st, the GSA hosted their first “Study Jam” of the semester in our office. Throughout the afternoon, our office was visited by members in need of a break from midterm studying! Coffee, donuts and hot chocolate were provided to all who came out. Be sure to listen for announcements for the next “Study Jam” coming soon! Good luck to everyone on his or her midterms!
“May Angels Lead You In”
On October 7, 2015 around 10:10 pm, Andrea Christidis, an 18 year old Western University Student was struck by an impaired driver. How many lives must be lost before society finally realizes it is never okay to go behind the wheel while impaired? A beautiful spirit and soul has been senselessly lost. May her memory be eternal as an the angel she now is. The entire Greek community at U of T would like to express their sincerest support and heartfelt wishes to the Christidis family at this time.
You’re invited to the GSA’s STUDY JAM!
Join us a week from today for our first “Study Jam” of the semester! With midterms coming in full swing, everyone deserves a time out. Located at our office, Room 423, at 21 Sussex Avenue, we will have coffee, refreshments and snacks for those who are looking for some down time!

**$4 SELECTED SHOTS ALL NIGHT**
On Friday September 25th, the GSA battled in UofT’s annual Clubs Cup and finished in first place, reclaiming what was lost the previous year! Their first game was at 9:30am where they battled the Croatians, but sadly lost 3-0. However, at 11:30 the GSA played the Korean’s and pulled out a 2-0 win! Finally, they swept out the Nigerians 2-0! Finishing first in the Pool B division, the GSA went on to play in the playoffs. Through amazing teamwork and a lot of support from GSA members on the sidelines they were able to beat OLAS 2-0 in the semi finals! Moving on to the finals the GSA fought hard and was able to bring home the cup with a 2-0 win against their rivals, the Croatians. Congratulations to our champions and thanks to everyone who came out! Let’s bring home the cup again next year!

On Thursday, September 17th, the GSA held their annual General meeting and Pub night! GSA members attended the general meeting where new and already-existing members were able to learn more about the GSA, their events, and the executive council. The general meeting also held elections for Director positions. Any and all members were eligible to run and new Directors were chosesn through anonymous voting. Congratulations to our five new Directors: Dimitri Simtikidis, Voula Giannoulis, Theoni Kapetaneas, Sotiros Katsuras, and Georgina Hadjiyianni.
Following the general meeting, many members of the GSA attended our first Pub Night of the year at O’Grady’s! The GSA provided members with beer and finger-food; bonding and getting to know the new and former members (and even some Alumni) from the council. It was a great way to kick off the new school year!
