Unite the Marbles

The Parthenon Marbles are the legacy of one of the world’s most inspiring structures: the Parthenon on the Greek Acropolis. Its staggering design has influenced today’s modern art and architecture, even though it lies stripped and raw in Athens.

Lord Elgin ripped the Parthenon’s heart apart in the 1800’s when he hacked priceless artwork off the ceilings, pillars and walls of the astonishing structure, leaving nothing but bare rock behind. Greece was under foreign rule at the time when he sold the priceless Marbles to the British Museum for a hefty fee.

The world stands united in restoring the Parthenon to her former glory. Help the Parthenon find her smile.
