On Sunday, March 29, 2015, the GSA proudly marched alongside fellow HSAs of York and Ryerson University. Despite the chilly air, leftover from a long Canadian winter, our members were very thrilled at the opportunity to commemorate the events that conspired in order for the Greeks to gain their independence and freedom from nearly four hundred years of slavery under the Ottoman Empire. After the parade, all the universities and their members collectively enjoyed lunch at Megas restaurant on the Danforth, our treat! We look forward to more great events and another amazing year to follow in 2015/2016, with another round of parades where which we as Greek Canadians are able to emblemize our thriving culture!
